La Ronge R-C-M-P are continuing to investigate an apparent drive-by shooting from early Wednesday morning in the community that sent a victim to hospital in Saskatoon.

At about 3:15 a.m. on September 30, officers came upon a 20-year-old male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds outside an apartment complex on Nunn Street in La Ronge. The early investigation revealed that the victim was shot when an older model grey truck pulled up beside him while he was walking alone along Far Reserve Road. It’s not known how many people were in the truck. The victim was taken by air ambulance to hospital in Saskatoon with non-life threatening injuries. For now, La Ronge R-C-M-P believe the incident to be isolated in nature, but are asking anyone with information about the incident to either contact them or Saskatchewan Crime Stoppers.
