A domestic dispute lead to a 45 year-old man being arrested on Friday night

At approximately 11:50 p.m. patrol officers responded to a report of a domestic dispute at a home in the 100 block of Imperial Street. Police report a man had assaulted a woman and when officers attempted to take him into custody he initially threatened to fight officers, and then threatened self harm with a pair of scissors. A conducted energy weapon was deployed along with pepper spray and the man was taken into custody without further incident.

The 45 year-old man was checked by paramedics at the scene before being transported to police detention. He is charged with Domestic Assault and Breach of Release Conditions and will appear before a Justice of the Peace Saturday.
