President Donald Trump’s doctors says 72 hours after his COVID-19 diagnosis, they are extremely happy with the progress he has made. They report that on Thursday he had a mild cough, nasal congestion and fatigue, all of which are now improving.
Dr. Sean Dooley says they are monitoring the President very closely for any evidence of complications from the corona-virus or therapies prescribed. Dooley says they have monitored his cardiac, liver and kidney functions, all of which are normal. He adds the President is not on oxygen, not having difficulty breathing or walking around the white house medical unit. Dooley quoted Trump as saying “he felt like he could walk out of there today”.
The doctors spoke to the media in a press conference Saturday, and revealed on Friday they administered a special antibody therapy, an experimental corona-virus drug called Remdesivir. When asked if the president had ever received supplemental oxygen in the past days Dr. Sean Conley answered that Trump wasn’t on oxygen “at the time”.
President Trump was transported to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Friday.
