President Donald Trump was helicoptered out of the Walter Reed Health Centre and back to the White House late this afternoon (Mon).
The President of the United States posted on Twitter that we shouldn’t be afraid of COVID and we shouldn’t let it dominate our lives.
Seven doctors spoke to the media this afternoon and confirmed that Trump would be heading back home.
White House Physician, Dr. Sean Conley ,says the President is surrounded by world class medical care 24-7 and there is nothing being done at the hospital that can’t be done from the White House.
Because COVID-19 doesn’t always track in a straight line, he understands the President might not be out of the woods yet, but Conley says Trump’s team of doctors remains cautiously optimistic because he has improved since Friday.
President Trump will get his third dose of the antiviral drug remdesivir before he leaves the hospital and will get 2 more doses at the White House.
The FDA says only severely ill hospitalized COVID-19 patients are eligible to be treated with this drug.
