Some contact tracing for COVID-19 appears to have led back to a series of Full Gospel Outreach events in Prince Albert between September 14th and October 4th. Medical Health Officer, Dr. Khami Chokani declared a multi-jurisdictional community outbreak Wednesday.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority says the outbreak involves numerous individuals with close contacts all around the province.
So far, contact tracing currently involves more than 100 people and for every single positive case of the novel coronavirus, Public Health interviews that person to determine who they have had contact with during their infectious period.
Anyone who was at any of these Gospel Outreach events between mid-September and last Sunday is asked to self-isolate immediately and contact 811 for a referral, and they should remain in isolation until assessed by their local Public Health unit. You can develop symptoms anywhere from 2 to 14 days after exposure.
