A 30-year-old man has been arrested and charged with assault with a weapon following a Wednesday afternoon stabbing in Saskatoon.

Police were told of an injured male near Avenue D and 35th Street West at around 1 p.m. They found the victim with a stab wound, believed to be minor in nature…but he was taken to hospital by Medavie Health Services. The suspect was arrested at a residence in the 1400 block of Avenue B North. The police investigation continues with more charges pending. The suspect and victim are believed to be known to one another.
