Today’s candidate profile for the upcoming civic election features Carol Reynolds, who is running in Ward 7.
Her top priorities are safety, taxes and fiscal accountability, and business growth.
The small business owner says her goal is no property tax increases for 2 years, because residents need a break in today’s economy.
Reynolds is also against the City borrowing money on the library’s behalf for a new central library.
However, because safety is a priority, she would vote no to defunding the Saskatoon Police Service, saying the funding needs to be kept static or increased for both the police and for the fire department, moving forward.
Reynolds suggests Council needs to get back to the basics providing the services residents need, like repair work on streets, roads and parks.
Before Reynolds became an entrepreneur, she held communications and government relations roles in various levels of government, which she believes is experience that will be an asset if she is voted in as Councilor in Ward 7.
