SEIU-West will be demonstrating outside of the Wynyard Integrated Facility and the Lanigan Hospital Thursday. President Barbara Cape says, “We need the public to understand that our provincial government has not demonstrated any commitment to invest in the people who provide health care services in our communities.” She says, “Our government needs to be motivated to direct SAHO to make a fair offer with health care providers.” Union members will be in Wynyard 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, and Lanigan 2:30 to 4:00 pm. SEIU-West represents over 13 thousand people in Saskatchewan including health care, education and retirement home workers.
