Charlie Clark is the incumbent for the mayoral race and believes a strong economic future can be built for the city, where no one is left behind.
He wants to keep the economy going, creating jobs, and attracting new businesses by leveraging the fact that Saskatoon has been one of the safest places in the world during the pandemic. Clark says he has the experience, initiatives, partnerships and relationships underway to guide the city through these challenging times. He suggests he’s already been in the role, providing crisis leadership along with community partners and knows what it will take, to make sure Saskatoon comes out of the situation even stronger.
Clark adds in the past four years there have been record investments in infrastructure, while work has continued to modernize city services and keep taxes down. He says great facilities have been built for youth, families and seniors, progress has been made to strengthen reconciliation and inclusion, and work has been started to tackle addictions and the root causes of crime.
Clark would like to strengthen the quality of life in the city. He points to improvements in roads, and recently built facilities like the Remai Art Gallery and Merlis Belsher place as signs that progress has been made to make Saskatoon a place people feel proud to live in.
