Last Thursday, the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit North, and officers from the Ahtahkakoop RCMP Detachment attended the scene of a suspicious sudden death at a rural property about 32 kilometres north of Shellbrook, along Highway 240. It is now a homicide investigation.
The victim has been identified as 48-year-old Bradley John Schmalz, a resident of the RM of Shellbrook.
Investigators believe it happened sometime between October 12th and October 15th.
An autopsy will be conducted Monday in Saskatoon.
Anyone who may have information concerning the investigation, including anyone who may have been in contact with the victim leading up to his death, is asked to contact the Ahtahkakoop RCMP or Crime.
