Around six o’clock Wednesday morning, Saskatoon Police responded to a three-vehicle collision on Circle Drive, north of the 108th Street exit. A south-bound vehicle rear-ended a pick-up truck, causing it to collide with a light pole, blocking northbound traffic. A north-bound semi-truck driver attempted to stop and avoid further collision, but the load of metal lengths became unsecured and came through the cab of the semi. No injuries were reported.
Both north and south-bound lanes of Circle Drive have been reduced to single lane traffic [as of 9:30 a.m.], as crews work to clear the scene.
The driver that rear-ended the truck was charged with Driving Without Reasonable Consideration For Others. The investigation is ongoing.
