Around 5:20 Tuesday afternoon, Saskatoon Police were called about a man inside a restaurant on the 700 block of 22nd Street West, waving a knife, shouting, and acting erratically. He wasn’t directly threatening anyone. Officers arrived but the man had left. He was tracked down and after a brief altercation, was taken into custody. Police believe he was under the influence of methamphetamine. They also seized a knife that was allegedly in his possession. The 40 year old is facing weapons charges. He was also wanted on numerous outstanding warrants.
