Use of vote-by-ballots increased significantly this time around in the provincial election. There were 61,255 Vote-by-Mail packages mailed out to Saskatchewan residents who applied. The total advance voting numbered at 185,061. The preliminary count will be held today; that includes ballots from advance polling and personal care facilities. The second count happens Wednesday. That includes the vote-by-mail ballots received by October 26th. All constituencies are collected and counted in Regina. There is no time frame for this. They just keep counting until they’re done. The final count happens November 7th. This will include vote-by-mail ballots received after October 26th, in-person absentee ballots cast at returning offices, hospital, remand, and temporarily displaced voter ballots, and extraordinary ballots.
