Another school is reporting a case of COVID-19.
Prairie Spirit School Division says an individual in lake Vista Public School has contracted the virus. The Saskatchewan Health Authority is conducting contact tracing. Students and families are reminded to be diligent in performing the safety regulations around the novel coronavirus.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority has identified a positive COVID-19 case in an individual at St. Joseph High School. Classes will continue as scheduled.
Another case was found at St. Nicholas Catholic School. Classes will continue as scheduled on Tuesday as Monday is a professional learning day for staff, and there are no classes scheduled. Risk of exposure for anyone not considered a close contact remains low.
The SHA also notified Saskatoon Public Schools of a positive case at Tommy Douglas Collegiate. This is the second case at the school. Since there are two cases, the SHA declared an outbreak at the school. As in every case, the SHA is conducting contact tracing. Risk of exposure to anyone who was not in close contact is very low. Classes will continue as scheduled on Tuesday. Monday is a professional development day.
Saskatoon Public Schools say after two positive cases at Marion Graham Collegiate, the SHA will be declaring an outbreak. The school division was also notified of one positive case of COVID-19 at Centennial Collegiate.
To date this school year, Saskatoon Public Schools has had 16 positive cases at 14 schools. Aside from Marion Graham and Tommy Douglas Collegiates, all other schools had one positive case each.
