Brettin Andrew Veilleux-Pelletier of Prince Albert has been sentenced to 18 years in jail in relation to the death of Allan Douglas Garrioch (Glasier).
20 year-old Garrioch went missing on February 25th, human remains were discovered on the 28th and on March 4th were confirmed to be Garrioch. Veilleux-Pelletier was arrested on March 3rd after an investigation by RCMP Major Crimes Unit North. He was the third person arrested for the crime that saw 5 people arrested and charged.
Veilleux-Pelletier plead guilty to manslaughter and will serve 18 years with a 362 day remand credit.
He was also sentenced to 14 years for kidnapping with a firearm and break and enter with an assault weapon, 7 years for unlawful confinement and 6 months for mischief. All which will be served concurrently with the manslaughter sentence.
Tristan Daniel Morrison, Steven Veilleux and Jodi Lynn Veilleux are all slated to be back in court in November. While Joshua Dominic Canevaro will see proceedings continue in January,
