A man and two women are in custody after a stolen vehicle led to a police chase Saturday morning.
At 9:25a.m., Saskatoon Police located a vehicle that had been reported stolen during a break and enter in Yorkton, at 3:00a.m. earlier that morning.
Patrol officers attempted to pull the vehicle over on Valley Road, at which point they say the driver of the vehicle failed to stop for police. A tire deflation device was successfully utilized by officers in two separate locations. The Air Support Unit continued to track the vehicle into the city, where it came to a stop in a yard on 11th Street West just off of Highway 7.
Members from the Saskatoon Police, RCMP, and Corman Park Police moved in to make an arrest. The driver of the vehicle attempted to flee on foot and was quickly apprehended by members of the Canine Unit. He suffered several minor dog bite injuries as a result and was treated at the scene by Medavie Health Services.
In addition to the driver, two passengers were arrested from the vehicle without incident.
The driver, a 30 year old man is charged with flight from police, dangerous driving, and possession of stolen property over $5000. A 24 year-old woman passenger is charged with possession of stolen property over $5000 and a 51 year-old woman is charged with possession of stolen property over $5000 and breach of probation.
All three individuals are from Lloydminster and will be held for court Sunday morning.
