The application process is open for the second annual Captain Judy Cameron Scholarship put on by the Northern Lights Aero Foundation and Air Canada. Last year, four pilots-in-training benefited from the scholarship. The $20 thousand scholarship is divided between selected applicants who are pursuing a career either as pilots, or aircraft maintenance engineers. It is geared towards women who might not otherwise be able to pursue the career.
The scholarship is named after Judy Cameron who became the first female pilot hired by Air Canada in 1978 at the age of 23. She retired in 2015.
Applications for the scholarship will be accepted until November 30th. To apply go here.
