Regina Police say a 27 year old man is facing several charges, including Attempted Murder, in connection with a series of criminal incidents. On October 23rd, Regina Police got word from RCMP that an armed robbery had occurred east of the city and the suspect allegedly stole a white Ford Taurus and was headed for the city. Regina Police found a vehicle matching the description and kept it under surveillance. Police allege that the suspect fired a weapon at a plainclothes officer in an unmarked vehicle while both vehicles were in motion. The officer wasn’t hurt. A spike belt knocked out the suspect vehicle’s tires. When the vehicle came to a stop, police say the officers had to struggle to get the suspect out and a conduced energy weapon was deployed but without success. The suspect was eventually arrested and taken to hospital for minor injuries. A loaded firearm was allegedly recovered from the vehicle. 27 year old Maxime Boucher is facing a total of 15 charges. He is in court Wednesday.
