Statistics Canada says Investment in non-residential building construction fell in Canada in September by 8.5 per cent. The decline was experienced in every province. In Saskatchewan investment was down 7.3 per cent. Only Ontario and Quebec saw larger declines. Investment in Saskatchewan came in at $85.7 million.
On the residential side, investment nationally was up 1.6 per cent. Saskatchewan was one of only three provinces seeing a decline; it was 0.9 per cent here. Total investment in this province was $155.7 million.
