An example of social media working for good happened in Saskatoon this week. Louie the golden retriever has been found after the owners spent three frantic days looking for him. And with a lot of help.
Owner Julia Neufeldt had reported him missing when a friend took him walking in Furdale dog park and Louie wandered off. Only this was on Sunday. During a major winter storm.
The status of Louie was kept updated with multiple posts from people in Saskatoon who thought they had spotted a dog that looked like Louie. Other animal lovers joined in the search and finally Louie was found by a skier on Remembrance Day at Chief Whitecap Park where he’d apparently burrowed into the snow.
