After months of campaigning, a snowstorm that delayed election day and long lines that caused further delays on Friday, the civic election is over and Saskatoon has it’s civic government for the next 4 years.
Charlie Clark will serve a 2nd term as mayor, after he received 27,377 of a total of 58,370 votes for mayor, or 47% of the vote. He says he is excited to see the dynamic of the new council but work on the next 4 years will begin by setting a budget. Clark suggests there is big work to do during a time that will be effected by COVID-19, and the council will need a really stable and clear financial plan for the budget.
