A man is facing charges after evading Police early Saturday morning.
Around 2:15, Patrol officers spotted a stolen pickup truck traveling in the area of Idylwyld Drive and 29th Street West. This same vehicle had evaded Police the previous evening. A traffic stop was attempted however the driver again attempted to evade. Stop sticks were successfully deployed and the vehicle was eventually stopped in the 100 block of Idylwyld Drive. The driver tried to run off but was caught with help from a police canine and taken into custody. Police allege he was carrying methamphetamine and MDMA.
The 24-year-old man is charged with; Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Evade Police, Possession of Stolen Property, Possession of Methamphetamine and MDMA, and breach of court conditions.
