A 42-year-old man was rescued from the North Saskatchewan River in Prince Albert by a team of first responders from the P-A Police Service and Fire Department, as well as Parkland Ambulance.
At about 3:20 Sunday afternoon, the first responders were told of the man having entered the freezing waters in the 200 block of River Street West. Police and fire personnel rowed out to a patch of ice on which where the man was able to lift himself onto, battling the ice and the river’s current before getting him into the boat and returning him to shore where Parkland Ambulance took him to hospital.
