Loon Lake RCMP responded to a potential armed and barricaded situation involving an unknown number of individuals inside a residence on the Makwa Sahgaiehcan First Nation. Police sent out a notification around 11:30 Monday morning.
Residents in the community and drivers were asked to avoid the area.
They were told to expect an increased police presence in the community for an undetermined amount of time.
Then, around five that afternoon, police reported the operation was over and a man was taken into custody. No one else was in the residence. The investigation is ongoing. No other details have been released.
