There was supposed to be a COVID-19 update from the Premier, remotely from his home in Shellbrook and the Chief Medical Health Officer in Regina, at 3 p.m. this afternoon.
That briefing has been postponed until Wednesday. Provincial officials says further measures to curb rising cases of COVID-19 are being actively considered and are in development. Those measures will be announced during the COVID-19 update on Wednesday. The seven day average of daily cases in Saskatchewan is 209. There have been more than a thousand new cases since Saturday.
Meanwhile, Premier Scott Moe is in self-isolation and will remain so through this coming Sunday. He was potentially exposed to a person, who tested positive for COVID-19, at Original Joe’s Restaurant in Prince Albert on Sunday, November 15th. He is not experiencing any coronavirus symptoms.
