Armed Robbery
Saskatoon Police say two men entered a gas station convenience store in the 800 block of 22nd Street West with a firearm. The call came in around 10:20 p.m. on Sunday night as a robbery in progress. The suspects fled before police arrived but made off with cash and cigarettes. The three people inside the store at the time were not hurt. The suspect in possession of the firearm was last seen wearing a black jacket with a grey hood, black pants, black shoes, black face mask, and a grey toque. He was also wearing light green and black “mechanix” style gloves and was carrying a sawed off rifle. The second suspect was last seen wearing a three-toned grey jacket with a hood, black pants, black shoes with white soles, black gloves and a black face mask. Traffic Stop Leads to Weapons Charges
Four people are facing a total of 33 charges after a Saturday night traffic stop.
Saskatoon patrol officers pulled over a vehicle around 10 ‘clock on Saturday at Avenue S just south of 22nd Street West. Police say they spotted a firearm in the vehicle as they approached. The vehicle allegedly contained, after a further search, additional pieces of a disassembled shotgun, as well as several rounds of ammunition. Two men, ages 32 and 33 and two women, ages 21 and 29 are all facing numerous firearms-related charges.
