Christopher D. Rempel, aged 45 years, of Caronport, Saskatchewan is facing charges in Alberta after a double fatal collision. On September 17th, two vehicles collided on Highway 21 killing two teenagers and seriously injuring a third. Fort Saskatchewan RCMP say Rempel is charged with one count each of operation of a motor vehicle while impaired, causing death and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, causing death in the deaths of 16 year old Kai Peters and 17 year old Alexandra Ollington. He is further charged with operation of a motor vehicle while impaired, causing bodily harm and dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm to Morgan Maltby. The family of 15 year old Maltby say that her injuries have been life altering and it is hopeful rehabilitation can be started soon in order for her to gain mobility.
