The latest data from the non-profit Angus Reid Institute finds 61 per cent of Saskatchewan residents polled approve of the job done by Premier Scott Moe which is a slight increase from August and a drop from the 65 per cent approval rating in May.
In spite of sky rocking COVID-19 case numbers around Metro Vancouver, BC Premier John Horgan maintains a high level of approval – with 64 per cent approving his performance.
Despite the COVID-19 situation in Quebec, Premier Fancois Legault sees his approval rating unchanged at 64 per cent. Premier Doug Ford in Ontario has seen his approval rating fall 11 points and it now sits at 55 per cent as his province deals with second wave highs in the province in terms of both hospitalizations and cases of COVID-19.
Alberta is the only province in Canada without an indoor mask mandate and Premier Jason Kenney only receives 40 per cent approval of Albertans polled, as the province faces the worst outbreak in the country. Manitoba Premier Brian Pallister has seen a 12 point drop in approval and today only 32 per cent of Manitoba residents approve of his performance with Manitoba operating under some of the strictest lockdown measures in the country.
In Atlantic Canada, residents are satisfied with their leaders’ performance. Atlantic Canada has the “bubble consisting of only Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island and residents have seen the lowest COVID-19 case numbers in the country.
