Premier Scott Moe announced one emerging leader, four individuals, and six teams from the public service will receive the Premier’s Award for Excellence in the Public Service for 2020.
Moe says “The recipients of this award have gone above and beyond their duties to provide the citizens of Saskatchewan with incomparable service.”
The Award is given out in three categories: emerging leader, individual, and teams.
The 2020 recipients are:
Nicole Lamers, Ministry of Agriculture (Emerging Leader)
Jennifer Brass, Ministry of Advanced Education (Individual)
Roy Cook, Ministry of Parks Culture and Sport (Individual)
Colby Elford, Ministry of Agriculture (Individual)
Darrell Kowalski, Ministry of Central Services (now Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement) (Individual)
Business Response Team – Ministry of Trade and Export Development
COVID-19 Emergency Financial Relief Team – Ministry of Trade and Export Development and Ministry of Finance
Fiscal Stabilization Modernization Team – Ministry of Finance
Income Assistance Redesign Project Team – Ministry of Social Services
Innovation Saskatchewan Team – Innovation Saskatchewan
Play. Learn. Grow. Together! Public Awareness Campaign Team – Ministry of Education
Individuals and teams from across government, including ministries, agencies, boards and crown corporations, are nominated for the Premier’s Award for Excellence in the Public Service by their peers, the public, stakeholder organizations, clients and citizens. Final selections are made by an independent committee.
