The December Crown petroleum and natural gas public offering on Tuesday generated nearly $913 thousand in revenue for the province. This is the fifth of six oil and gas public offerings for the 2020-21 fiscal year and brings cumulative earnings to over $6.2 million.
Last year, the province’s December public offering generated $3.4 million in revenue. The year before, it was $47.3 million.
The Estevan area saw the most interest this year, raising over $889 thousand from 15 parcels.
The next Crown petroleum and natural gas public offering is scheduled for February 2.
