One man was arrested Wednesday afternoon, after a collision on the 200 block of Avenue S South just before five o’clock. Saskatoon Police say when they arrived on scene, officers found a white, 2006 Pontiac Torrent that had been reported stolen hours earlier, in the front yard of a residence. It had crashed through a fence and was heavily damaged. Police say they saw a man, believed to be under the influence of an intoxicant, exit the vehicle. He was taken into custody after a brief altercation.
A 23-year-old Saskatoon man is charged with Theft of a Motor Vehicle. He was also found to have numerous outstanding warrants.
The investigation is ongoing.
