On Friday night at 8:51p.m., the Saskatoon Police Service received a call to the 700 block of Appleby Drive regarding a woman that had been stabbed.
Patrol officers arrived and located a 37 year-old woman suffering from a stab wound which is believed to be non-life threatening. She was transported to the hospital by Medavie Health Services.
Officers were able to locate a 28 year-old man nearby and took him into custody without incident. He will be appearing before a Justice of the Peace Saturday morning facing a charge of assault with a weapon and breach of probation.
The suspect and victim are known to each other.
