Statistics Canada says investment in residential business construction rose in Saskatchewan in October by nearly 19 per cent. We were one of only four provinces that went up and we were, by far, the largest hike. Nationally, investment rose only 0.7 per cent. Total investment in Saskatchewan rang in at $179.9 million.
On the non-residential side, Prince Edward island was the only province seeing an up-tick. Nationally, the average was a decline of 3.2 per cent. In Saskatchewan, it was 4.2. Total investment was $82.3 million here.
