The Saskatchewan government says Donald Cal has pleaded guilty to two violations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

The first violation was an employer or contractor not notifying OH&S as soon as reasonably possible of an accident at a place of employment that required a worker to be admitted to hospital for 72 hours or more.

The second violation was failing to provide information, instruction, training, and supervision that is necessary to protect the health and safety of a worker resulting in serious injury.

Donald Cal was fined and as to pay a surcharge for a total of $14,000. The charges stem from a worksite incident that occurred on October 25, 2018 near Hudson Bay when a worker fell from a house roof and was injured.
