Canada is set to receive the first doses of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine by the end of the month, pending Health Canada approval.
Speaking in Ottawa, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also says another shipment of the Pfizer vaccine is on the way. Next week, Canada is to receive about 200 thousand of the total early doses from Pfizer. As well, Trudeau says they will have 70 sites ready to administer the doses. They currently have 14 sites.
Trudeau says the Moderna vaccine will be sent to northern and remote Indigenous communities first, as it does not need super cold storage.
