The Hockey Harvest Lottery is entering the final few days before the winning ticket is drawn Monday.
The jackpot is over $280,000, as of Tuesday afternoon…half of which goes to the winning ticket and the other half to be shared by the five Saskatchewan W-H-L teams for their respective Education funds. Tickets are $20.00 each and can only be purchased on-line through any of the five team websites or the W-H-L website. The deadline to buy tickets is Sunday. Saskatoon, Sask. – The Hockey Harvest Lottery presented by Great Western Brewing Company is entering the final week of ticket sales before the grand prize draw takes place on Monday, December 21st, 2020.
The total jackpot began at $75,000 and is now nearing $300,000. Since this is a 50/50 lottery, the winning ticket will take home 50% of the total jackpot. The remainder of the jackpot after administration fees are applied, will be divided equally amongst the Moose Jaw Warriors, Prince Albert Raiders, Regina Pats, Saskatoon Blades, and Swift Current Broncos to put towards each club’s WHL scholarship fund.
“The support for the Hockey Harvest Lottery has been incredible and it truly shows the passion shared amongst the hockey community in our province,” says Saskatoon Blades director of business operations, Tyler Wawryk. “The ticket sales were hot out of the gates and the jackpot continues to climb by the hour, so we’re excited to watch that continue in this final stretch and we can’t wait to see where it gets when we make the final draw next Monday.”
Tickets are currently available for purchase online over the age of 19 that is physically in the province of Saskatchewan at the time of purchase, regardless of their home residence. Ticket price options are listed below:
- 1 ticket for $20
- 5 tickets for $50
- 20 tickets for $100
- 150 tickets for $500
- 500 tickets for $1000
Ticket sales for the Hockey Harvest Lottery close on December 20th, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. CST, with the grand prize draw taking place on December 21st, 2020, at 1:00 p.m. CST in Saskatoon. To purchase tickets visit WHL.ca/hockeyharvestlotto or any one of the five participating hockey clubs’ websites.
The Hockey Harvest Lottery would like to congratulate Trevor Sali of White City, the winner of the early-bird draw prize made on November 28th. The early-bird prize package featured a jersey from each of the five participating teams.
