Aurora Glow, Snow Sparkle, Moonlight Bonfire, and Ice Garden are the names of the first of the light displays being launched at the Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan site.

Director of Marketing and Development Alan Long says Ice Garden will be visible from now until December 27th although they are inserting a special Christmas display for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Those walking along the Meewasin trail that goes through the site will witness the light show which includes an assortment of LED lights that cover the whole site. There are even patterns that appear in light on the ground including one of Shakespeare and a couple of Shakespeare quotes.

Long says all of it was made possible by their capital campaign. Wally and Colleen Mah recently donated $50,000 which was matched by the Robert Steane Fund for the Arts through the Saskatoon Community Foundation. Long says it helped finish off their capital campaign and helped pay for a really great light installation for the City of Saskatoon. They also received a grant from Winter City YXE.
