There could be a 6.6 per cent tax increase in Prince Albert next year.
Budget Committee deliberations are January 6th and 7th.
The proposal from Administration includes a projected shortfall of just over $2-million due to COVID-19 related expenses and revenue losses, but Finance Director Cheryl Tkachuk says the losses are completely offset by funding from both the federal and provincial governments.
Once the Budget Committee goes through the documents, it will make recommendations to City Council for final approval.
According to the City of Prince Albert’s calendar, the next Council meeting is January 25th.
