Saskatoon Police may be getting ready to ticket more than just the organizers of these anti-mask rallies.
They have issued a ticket to what they call a key participant of a protest that took place on December 5.
A $2,800 ticket was issued for a violation under The Public Health Act, 1994. This is the 7th ticket that the Department has issued. Police say they will be present at all future public gatherings that impact community safety.
Chief Troy Cooper says, “The issuing of a fine is the next step in attempting to gain compliance. “However, we continue to consult with health officials and crown prosecutors, and going forward the scope of our investigations and enforcement may expand beyond key participants.”
