The Prince Albert RCMP received a call about uttering threats at a home on the Sturgeon Lake First Nation late Sunday afternoon, followed by a second report of neighbours hearing the sound of gun shots.
When officers arrived, they set up a containment area to secure the perimeter of the home.
Along with the Prince Albert RCMP, other teams responded because of the report that firearms were involved, including the Emergency Response Team, the Crime Reduction Team, RCMP Police Dog Services, officers from the Waskesiu RCMP Detachment, Prince Albert Traffic Services Unit and members of the provincial Protect and Response Team.
A search warrant was executed, but no firearm or ammunition was found inside the home and no evidence to support the initial reports so the investigation has concluded.
