COVID-19 will not stop the Friendship Inn from hosting its annual Christmas dinner for those in need.
Executive Director Sandra Kary says the turkey meal will still happen on Christmas day with COVID-19 safety precautions in place and guests can opt for dine-in or takeaway.
The Friendship Inn is stocked up for the meal itself, but food donations welcomed all year long, because they serve breakfast and lunch every day of the year.
Kary suggests staples like dry goods, potatoes, carrots, onions and margarine.
She adds that their annual Fill the Plate fundraising campaign is on through December 31st and when you make a financial donation, it is matched by Nutrien up to $100,000 in total.
The Friendship Inn serves more than a thousand meals a day, 365 days a year.
