The search began Christmas Eve when a 25 year old man told his family he was taking his ATV and going ice fishing at the Alameda Dam in Southeast Saskatchewan. RCMP were called when he didn’t return. The search, overnight into Christmas morning, initially turned up the ATV, under the ice. At 3:30 p.m. on Sunday the RCMP Underwater Recovery Team located the body of the missing fisherman. His family and the Saskatchewan coroner have been notified.
