Saskatoon police are asking that drivers slow down and use caution while driving Tuesday. Freezing rain has made for slippery conditions.
Police have received reports of seven collisions and one collision with an injury since 6:00 a.m.
They recommend allowing more time to get to where you are going and leave ample room between your vehicle and the one in front of you.
Freezing rain throughout the province has turned roadways slick with the Highway Hotline advising people not to travel on some highways. Down in Moose Jaw, police responded to multiple Motor Vehicle collisions throughout the city due the extremely icy road conditions.
One intersection was actually closed to traffic due to numerous vehicles blocking the road.
City sanding crews have been out, however due to the rain, all streets in Moose Jaw have become dangerously icy.
