Saskatchewan Hockey Association general manager Kelly McClintock issued a statement Tuesday regarding the “worrisome” rumour from Les Lazaruk’s Monday Parting Shot commentary.
McClintock says, “We would like to make our membership aware that a rumour is circulating regarding a nation-wide shutdown of hockey. We want to assure members that their is no truth to this and that we continue to work with the Government of Saskatchewan to reestablish our Safety Guidelines.”
That rumoured nation-wide shutdown of hockey was to happen after the end of the World Junior Championship, being put in place by Hockey Canada.
