An R-C-M-P investigation continues following the shooting of a 29-year-old man while his car was parked in Meadow Lake on Monday.

The man was struck once and suffered serious injuries while two other occupants of the car were unharmed. At the time of the shooting in the early morning hours of January 4 on Cochin Avenue, the vehicle was parked, but was put into motion during the incident. It eventually struck a power pole, caught fire and was heavily damaged. According to R-C-M-P, it is believed the man who was shot was the target of the attack…meaning it is not a random incident and the general public is not at risk.
