The requirements for a negative COVID-19 test started at midnight. That means from this point forward, if you travel outside of Canada, you must show a negative COVID-19 test before you return and you still must self-isolate for two weeks when you get back from your travels.
On Tuesday the Prime Minister stated that no one should be vacationing abroad right now and if you do decide to travel, you do so at your own risk. Justin Trudeau also said that officials are reviewing travelers isolation plans upon their return and if those plans are not deemed adequate then travelers will have to quarantine at a federal facility.
