Update: RCMP say the on-scene investigation into the two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Highways 17 and 770 is complete. Both lanes of Highway 17 are now opened to motor traffic. Maidstone RCMP thanks motorists for their patience
The incident occured at around Noon Friday.
Maidstone R-C-M-P and local E-M-S are on the scene where a truck and a semi-trailer truck unit collided at the intersection about eight kilometres south of Lloydminster. Highway 17 South traffic is being re-routed with motorists advised to slow down to 60 kilometres per hour when passing emergency vehicles at the scene and to follow traffic directions from police on the scene. An R-C-M-P collision reconstructionist from Prince Albert is on the way to assist with the ongoing investigation.
