Prince Albert Police say they are investigating a homicide after being called just before midnight Saturday to a vehicle driving erratically in the 1400 block of 6th Avenue West.

A man in the front seat was suffering from serious life-threatening injuries and the 21 year old was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

Residents may have noticed police in the 800 block of 13th Street West Monday which is where their investigation took them. A suspect has been identified and it is believed the suspect and the victim knew each other.

Police are asking the public to contact Prince Albert Police Service at 306-953-4222 or Crime Stoppers if they observed or heard anything suspicious in the area of the 800 Block of 13th Street West around 11:45p.m. on the night of January 9, 2021.

The Criminal Investigations Division of the Prince Albert Police Service, along with the Identification Section, continue to investigate.
