A Saskatoon man has been charged with Attempted Murder after shots were fired at a warming shelter in Regina. A caller to police around 8:30 a.m. Friday morning reported a man trying to fight with staff in the 3500 block of 5th Avenue in Regina.
The suspect had left when Regina Police arrived but investigating officers received reports of a home-made firearm being fired after it was pointed at another person. The shot hit the window of the building and police were able to retrieve evidence which led to a suspect being identified. He was arrested back at the same location on Sunday morning.
35 year old Dexter Jonathon Lee of Saskatoon is charged with Attempted Murder Using a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition and Breach of Probation.
