Two men are in hospital with serious injuries following an airplane crash on Saturday morning in East Central Saskatchewan.
Just before 10 a.m. on January 9, Greenwater R-C-M-P attended a report of a plane crash about nine kilometres west and six kilometres north of Archerwill. Two males, aged 58 and 52 years-old, were found trapped inside the plane. With the help of Archerwill Fire Department, Rose Valley and Naicam E-M-S plus STARS air ambulance, the two were extracted from the plane and transported to hospital. At the time of the plane’s take-off, weather conditions were considered extremely foggy with frost. Greenwater R-C-M-P say criminality is not being considered at this time in the investigation.
